Time is of the essence, and sometimes the universe’s timing does not align with what we have in mind as we seek to control our experiences here on Earth. When I reflect on patience in relation to time, it becomes clear that things often do not evolve or become what we envision within our own timeline. The belief that we control what happens on Earth creates the illusion that we have power over events, but this illusion highlights a deeper truth: control is not ours to wield.
When I think about control and the act of trying to control outcomes, the emphasis lies on the word trying. Attempting to control life is an illusion we frequently fall for, but it is simply not possible to manipulate life. Perhaps this is where the beauty of life truly resides. Life invites us to flow with the universe, to embrace its rhythm, and to discover the new elements each day that shape our earthly journey.
If it is true that we cannot control life and are instead meant to flow with it, why not greet each day with a sense of wonder and curiosity for what is yet to come? This is how children live, and perhaps this is why we often hear the call to "be like children." Children possess an innocence and a desire to discover, living in awe of the world around them.
Adopting this childlike approach—of exploring each day as it unfolds—can bring joy and contentment into our lives. As the year draws to a close, we may find value in reflecting on the experiences we’ve had and consider embracing this practice. By approaching life with the curiosity of a child, we open ourselves to the endless possibilities each day brings. This practice reconnects us to our essence, reminding us to commit to our loving nature. It is an exploration well worth undertaking.❤️
