Have you ever considered that you have your own rhythm?
I believe we all do. I am aware of my own rhythm, and I also notice when it gets disrupted. Here is a perspective from a musician: a musical piece has a certain rhythm that characterizes it. This rhythm is one of the aspects that determine the style of the piece. If a musical piece is played with a rhythm that does not fit, it will sound off. I feel the same is true for human beings.
I know for certain that each one of us has a rhythm in life. When we don't follow it, we tend to feel off. Life moves so quickly, and we often have so many things we feel we must do that we sometimes forget to pause and figure out our own rhythm. Taking the time to discover our rhythm is part of self-care. Each of us is unique, and each of us has our own rhythm. It is not something you can copy from someone else, nor is it something anyone can tell you about yourself. It is something you determine based on how a particular rhythm of doing things feels to you.
It is important to take the time to listen to your body, to listen to its rhythm. It is equally important not to push yourself or force yourself to follow a rhythm that does not resonate with you or serve your body well. Go with your flow. Trust your flow. You, and only you, determine your flow. Listen to your body and trust its signals. Take the time to pause and truly hear what your body tells you. Follow that. There is no need to push or force your body into following a rhythm that does not serve you. There is no need to compare, and there is no need to compete.
Do you. Be you. That is your only job on Earth. And so it is.❤️
